Who I am
Good day! I am a half Puerto Rican half Colombian mutt. I was born in the good ol’ US of A, Florida to be exact, where I was raised till the age of 10. For whatever reasons life saw fit I’ve been living in Puerto Rico ever since. Being a mutt is not so simple, having the appearance and heritage of a latina/Hispanic, a morphed culture between Colombian, Puerto Rican and American and constantly thinking in spanglish.
There are a lot of expectations to live up to. But moving on, my favorite color is red. It’s bright and vibrant and just simply looks alive to me. I love drawing and doodling and creating. It’s been one of my passions since I was able to hold a crayon in my hand and scribble on the wall. I like it because it doesn’t have to make sense, it doesn’t necessarily need structure. It is what it is, you can find beauty in it, or horror, or tranquility. Even among the messy strokes and smudges of black charcoal I can find a place I feel at ease and at home. I guess I am a chaotic walking mess just trying to make sense.
